A History of Service

In 2003, David Miller purchased the Jennings Insurance Agency, and formed Miller Insurance Group, Inc., now operating as Brightway Insurance. At that time, the agency had one office and three employees. As of June, 2010, Brightway Insurance had over 60 offices throughout Florida and over 300 associates. This phenomenal growth was recently recognized by INC Magazine who listed Brightway Insurance as the fastest growing privately held P&C Insurance Agency in the country.

Brightway continues to drive innovations that add value. In 2009 Brightway University opened its doors to its first associates. Now, all new Brightway associates experience comprehensive training in a state of the art facility. Better products, better tools, and the best working environment have led to Brightway being listed as the Best Place to Work in N. Florida for two consecutive years.

Leadership

David Miller, President & CEO
David Miller received his Bachelors Degree from Florida State University. He received the LUTCF Designation in 1998 and has been recognized nationally as a top writer of auto, home, business, and life insurance. From 1993 to 2003 Mr. Miller was a Senior Agent and a manager for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company of Boston. Mr. Miller currently serves on a number of insurance company advisory boards and is proud of his involvement with the Florida Association of Insurance Agents. He remains active in his community as a leader and volunteer of various non-profit organizations.

Michael Miller, Chief Operations Officer
Michael Miller has served as Chief Operations Officer since August, 2004. Prior to joining Brightway Insurance, Mr. Miller gained valuable experience working with large companies in the areas of sales and operations. This exposure allowed Miller to see how such companies employed technology to improve efficiency and harness significant growth opportunities. Mr. Miller was instrumental is developing workflows and identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies. In 2004, he led Brightway Insurance's effort to employ a new paperless, web-based Agency Management System. This project lead to additional technology enhancements that would ultimately transform the way Brightway provides award winning service to its customers and agents.
